Tony Snow Dies at 53

Dear All,

I met Tony. He personally gave my family a tour of the Fox News studios when we visited Washington, D.C. some time before he bacame press secretary.

We watched him finish out the last 20 minutes of that day’s radio program from his control room.

His producers let my 9 year old son push the buttons to start the bumper music and hand signal Tony to to start yapping.

We had always hoped that he would beat his colon cancer, and are saddened that he is gone. Just a great, cheerful personality, backed with tons of common sense and political savvy.

My 8 year old daughter would say “Tony Snow for President”. He would have made a GREAT president. God took him from us way too soon. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

We will miss him.

Sincerely,

Joe Satnik

Only the good die young…:frowning:

Let this be a message to all of you, go see the Doc (Pill Pushers) soonest and get a check up! You can beat it if it is caught soon enough, which requires a visit to the Doc!! So get off your ____ and do it! I don’t like losing friends, I have too few now!!

Paul

A good friend (age 52) was dragged screaming and kicking by his wife in for a colonoscopy. They found two polyps that were enlarged and malignant. If he had of won the fight between him and his bride, he would be dead now.
I had my first scan at age 50, and again at 60, next one at 65. I look forward to them, knowing I can catch it early enough. Life is too short to simply be a macho dude and ignore your health.
If you think it won’t happen to you, think again. It prolly will.
Done preachin’ now…
I haven’t heard of Mr. Snow, but my condolences.

I beat prostrate cancer five years ago. Next week I am scheduled for my first my first ever colonoscopy, I am 67. Decided I should have it done when my wifes brother died one week after chemo treatment for colon cancer. He never knew about until it was too late. He was only 50. Just feeling OK doesn’t cut it when there is a test that can determine for sure if something needs to be taken care of. Too bad about Tony I thought he was one of the best, honest and most belivable newscasters on TV.

I heard it said of Mr. Snow this AM on Fox News, that “if Tony had been thrown into a stable full of horse manure, he would grab a shovel and start digging, confident that there would be a pony at the bottom of the hole.”

His optimism is infective, still. He will be missed.

Dear All,

Fox News Sunday (TV Show on Fox Broadcast) had an hour long tribute to Tony (who was their founding host) this morning.

This may be starting up right now on the West Coast.

“Our Tony” “Ever Cheerful” etc.

Here is video link with Brit Hume’s comments:

Hope this helps.
