That’s really cool, but I can only imagine what it cost him to bring in all those experts to build his layout. The building alone is unbelievable for a private layout.

Gazzillionaire!!! Man wouldn’t we all like to have the opportunity, and or the money to be able to do what he did! And I’ve always dreamed of just being in the country an acre or so with a narrow guage riding railroad running around the property. I got my introduction into trains when I was 5, my uncle bought me two trains sets, a Lionel freight set and a passenger set. Been into 027, then N, then z, and now G. One of the more memorable moments of my life was when I was a police officer for the city of Lakeside, one of the most unique police depts. in colo. It’s the amusement park, but also has or had 11 voting residents too! Lakeside mall gone now I believe, but when I was an officer there at the amusement park part of our duty was to ride the rails on the train around the lake. Watch for drugs, problems etc, and also was a way to cool off in the summer after a hot day of foot patrol all through the park, and just riding the rails around the lake in the cool of the summer evening on the diesel, or coal fired trains there at Lakeside Amusement Park.

Man, What a layout… Not only the railroad, but just at the end of the first video, the ship models in the glass cases…

Road trip!

I 2nd that Bruce

Personally while I find the track plan rather bland, its a scenery guys layout, and OH! that scenery is spectacular!

Yeah about being a brazillionair, must be nice going to bed each night saying “Its good to be the King”

People say money doesn’t buy happiness but I would rather be rich and unhappy than poor and unhappy, fortunately I am not unhappy or poor (just working Class) so I need to work on the rich bit - C’mon where’s those lotto numbers.

Money can't buy happiness, but it makes being miserable a hell of a lot easier.

I don't want to pay for it. Just borrow it for a bit. ;)
