Here is a test fitting of the “stuff” on the side of the building. I made everything but the red barrel. The safety signs etc… went on today and really brought the build together but you have to wait for the final photos to see them. As for the final photos I’m going to need to move some snow since we got near 10" yesterday. I’m looking forward to seeing everyones end products.
The signs were sized and printed out. I then sprayed both sides with a matte clear coat. To mount them I took a scrap piece of siding flipped it upside down and glued the sign onto it then the to the building.
Today I was able to chip ice from the building site on the train yard bench and get seom photos before it started to snow again. The bench will need to be built up a bit to accomadate this building.
I really stretched my skils in producing this and learned some new things along the way from the other builds. Thanks to all for the inspiration. It was a fun challenge.
Awesome building Todd. I’m going to use the window idea with my Mine building.
I think it all came out very well Todd, the siding, the foundation, the scratchbuilt doors are fantastic, the colors work, and I like the extra signs and detailing. When I get the time to try out that window technique, I’ll be sure and post pictures.
Your railroad looks great in those pictures, by the way.

And ya dun good, too…
Thanks guys for the kind words and support.
Looking at the photos I think my favorite thing on the build is that pallet. It went together in 3 minutes and looks so good. HA HA . Seriously the biggest problem with this building is it really puts my converted birdhouses and glorified plywood boxes to shame. I really raised the bar for myself. Luckily this building is far from other ones so maybe visitors won’t notice…

Ah, but you will and it will bug you to no end…
yep the hook is set!
The hook has been set for years now ! Since most of my cash goes to trains!
It will bug me that is for sure but I’m more into trains than the buildings. When I modelled in HO years ago I used to have buildings that were literally blocks of wood nailed together. I learned to squint alot and imagine. LOL
