Back to the Cobra. Years ago at car shows guys used to display RC cars and models that looked like and painted to match their cars. I’m not into RC cars so I made this instead. Don’t mind the dust😁
Hey Todd did you have any plans made or did you just wing it the whole way thru? I NEED one of these, dont know why but I NEED one! LOL
I just winged it Pete which is why it took so long to build. There was a lot of trial and error, thinking, figuring, measuring and adjusting and it is still going on. 
I used photos of the real deal and Dan Gilchrist turned me on to a design program that showed top and side angle computer drawings. I used this to get an idea of the layout of the pieces and then used selective compression to make it work for me. It was called Autodesk DWG Trueview 2025. Schnabel 256 colors
I agree with you Pete. You NEED one of these. 
I just finished a video featuring the build up, testing and run round the layout. I’m going to post it on the Video tab here.

Great improvements, Weight seems to stay over the rails now. 
I don’t know about the drag and brag, I’d need a wagon to avoid 3 trips back and forth. 
Yes David, when the pivot point was changed it really helped with the excessive over and under hang plus additional weight was added here and there.
It is still not a fan of track that has a twist to it so those spots will need some attention come spring. One spot I have a diamond and it rises a bit then the track drops down and the rear truck of the Schnabel was actually hanging in the air 
Some of us do well on the “brag” part, but you’d sure be supporting the “drag” half of the operation.
Todd, you could probably rent a Schnabel and get it there in one trip. 
Or if you have 2747 pieces of Lego…

I did make a carrier for each end of the Schnabel so that is 2 trips and then the load and ramp to get them off the carrier. I get my steps in going back and forth to the basement and lugging this beast.
