I needed some tires for my stable of Model A Ford model cars because the original rubber tires have dried out and were splitting due to age 30-40 years old. These tires are as hard to find as hen’s teeth at reasonable prices. I wasn’t about to pay $5/tire + shipping, so I 3D printed replacements to fill my requirement and a lot of spares! My wife has an Etsy store so she put the spares on her store for $9.95 dollars for 5 tires + shipping. If you are also in need of these tires check out this link…
Cost to ship:$4.50

Are they pliable or ridged ?
Rick,
They are pliable. Made from TPU filament.
Note: TPU, or thermoplastic polyurethane, is a type of thermoplastic elastomer that combines characteristics of both rubber and plastic. It’s known for its flexibility, durability, and abrasion resistance, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.
Thanks Joe, I’ll order a set or two.
Thank you for the info…
Just ordered 2 sets
I’ll get some of these too. Any plans to print wheels also? I bought a couple Hubley cars off ebay just to get more wheels. I bought some of these cars as a kid, they got played with!
Ordered 2 sets. Thanks Joe.
Fellas,
Wayne asked if I would print wheels. Well I done it. See the Etsy ad on the wife’s store and convo her if you want the tires mounted on wheels as a ready to go set. The wheels are PLA gray to use as is or you can paint 'em any color use wish.

We can customize your order by mounting new tires on this order of wheels. $20.00 for 5 new tires mounted on 5 new wheels. Convo me for your personal post.
Thank you Joe! My better half will be ordering them for me too.
That’s great Joe, I’m glad that you stepped up to fill this much needed slot.
I already ordered a couple sets of tires, looks like I will be ordering some wheels and tires
The tires arrived today, thank you! Can’t wait to receive the wheels.
1928 Rouge Plant buffing Model A 2 door body
Is it possable to print them with sidewall and tread detail
I will look into that aspect.
Wayne,
Joan and I are happy you like your new tires and wheels. These tires will last forever (I believe) because TPU plastic does not dry out like rubber. How many Hubley 1:20 scale cars do you have? I have 12.
I also have 2 1:18 scale Duesenbergs. A Touring car and a Town car. They have much bigger tires and wheels.
They look fabulous, Joe. Good on you for investigating the newer materials, and putting in the design time.
Presently I have 4 Hubley Ford model A’s. The Phaeton, which I had from my childhood needs wheels and tires. New to me is a pickup, missing wheels and tires. I also scored a kit of a model T Depot Hack. Many plastic parts in that kit, worried those parts are dried out and fragile. Maybe I’ll just keep in the box.
