Large Scale Central

Tiny narrow gauge passenger car

Here’s a cool little four-wheel, shorty passenger car from a former narrow gauge railroad in the Atacama desert. It looks like it could only hold maybe 8 people:

Wonder if that could be built with body design adapted to fit one of HLW’s 4 wheel car chassis.

That almost looks like an LGB starter set car.

I was thinking one of the Ozark Miniatures 10’ shorty flatcar as a start.

That one would be fun to model.(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

It’s quite similar to the 7/8n2 coach that Ozarks sells.

Yes its close, looks like Shawn’s car.(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif) Very rustic.

She’s in Chile

I was curious about the rear end…

Very nice prototype!! Thinking of doing a lot of shorty rolling stock, and this coach just screams to be modeled for my future layout!! Any story on this railroad out there?

You were curious about her rear end? Oh kay.

lol, at least I wasn’t the only one that caught that.

This would be right at home on the Fn2 idea I have rolling around in my head

I kit bashed some Faller coaches to run when I’m feeling Gartenbahnish. Here’s a short video. I used Hartland chassis for these two. The end platforms are from LGB short American passenger cars. For a third one I used an LGB short flat car chassis. I can take some photos if anyone wants more detail.

Yes, I was, nice… butt seriously, on the first pic the background muddied the image.

You guys! (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-innocent.gif)

Yep, you’re right John. I kept string and staring to figure out what was going on back there. Your picture cleared it up nicely. She was defiantly built no frills. Just wide enough to fit the journal pedestals under and only one end to get off/on. Neat car.
