I have spent hours watching the Ottawa meeting, seeing so many folks i only knew as names (and occasional Large Intruding Hands) through videos of home garden layouts. It has been a pleasure to put faces and voices to so many of the nice folks i have met here.
Right now i am with my husband, accompanying him as he is attending one of his long-running thrice-a-year role playing game meetings. This particular home-based RPG meetup has been running since the late 1970s, when many of the players were in high school, and it also includes some second-generation children, now college students. They are saying things like “d-10 plus 7, 12, he’s bloodied now, heavy one-handed melee.” This goes on for 3 full days. They LOVE it.
I bring this up because my husband watched a few of the TT&TO tutorial videos and Ottawa Invasion of American Friends videos with me and he said, “This reminds me of an RPG, but with trains.” I think he’s right! The friendship and comradeship are wonderful.
Thanks again for sharing.
