So after all this rain, acorns, wind I looked at my empire and ugggg.
I will have to hire big hand to clean up !
To many acorns wedged between the rails to run the plow!
The leaves are glued to everything so the leaf blower wouldn’t work to well.
The small sticks are big branches…so it will be a while before I can find the time to run anything!
I will have to get it into shape before the snow flyes… got to use the snow fighting equipment!!
Well, I finally found the answer to dealing with acorns. I get out my Craftsman 16 gallon wet/dry vacuum and suck them up. I do have to be careful as I can also suck up rocks, but it sure beats all the other ways of picking them up that I’ve tried. I then dump them into a plastic lawn and leaf bag, making sure it doesn’t get too heavy. It’s amazing how much those things weigh.
Hmmmm
I like that Idea!
Ah yes…the acorn.
One British Admiral (Collingwood) used to collect them off his estate and walk around throwing them into the hedgerows thus making sure there would be new oak for British wooden wall ships…Little did he guess about steel and the future.
Must say tho…the oaks do look nice today…
You guys with trees, eh? [chuckle]
You should live here in rural Cambridgeshire, where trees are rare items indeed. In fact, many folks I know of, living here in our mud hut by the stream, have never actually seen a tree of any kind. They tell stories to their kids at night 'Go to sleep or else the TREE will come and get you!!!

Ottawa Valley GRS
Could be worse Tac…you could live in Norfolk or Suffolk where they still point up to planes as they fly over…(LOL)
Using a shop vac does sound like a good idea, at least better than picking up by hand. I might have to try that next time.
Sean did you see how my RR deals with acorns? Look under the video tab for a comical romp.
Things should be drying out this weekend so get cleaning!
Or worse, here in Deer Park, the forest creep ever closer to the castle.
Nope
Life is in the way!
Brake job on one vehicle, fallen tree work the rest of the week end!
