Those itty bitty drill bits

that we all have at the bottom of our tool boxes…

How do youse guys keep them squared away so you know which one is which?

Number drill stands.
From # 80 up.

Or Steve, there are “Drill Cards”, small file to keep the drills in. Of course getting the sizes correct will be a bit of work.

Paul

they do make a sizing card for the bits. Sometimes even available at your LHS. These are predrilled and marked for when you get cornflustered.

i have a piece of cork w/ the drill #s wrote on it and the bits are stuck in it.

Mine are in a metal case that’s stamped

I have a tiny metal case. Easily misplaced among the clutter.

Mine are in a tiny case, that fits into the main case.

numbered bits 1-80, Lettered bits from A to Z, and fractional from 1/2 to 1/16… all in one nice metal case that was cheap.

Being ex-military , I have one boxed set for inspections , one in use and one in the wash .
However , I dare not touch the inspection ones in case they look used , the in use ones don’t seem to be all there
(a bit like me , really) and the ones in the wash have gone rusty .
I hope this helps .
