I spoke directly to Bachmann Europe HQ this morning and an unnamed rep there told me that LS Thomas products would be on sale in UK sometime in the New Year.
Whoopee.

Terry,
Looking at it from a different perspective, you won’t have to be worried about delivery time and if the sets will show up in time, like me. I ordered Luke a Percy set last weekend. It is his big present, so I hope it arrives in time. Also, you won’t be dealing with the learning curve of a new product. Seems like there are always little glitches in product that need to be sorted out.
As for the marketing, I agree, it is too bad they didn’t plan better to market to the UK. But, then again, it is their money to lose, right?!
By the time I’m done with ol’ Tommy and Percy, anthropomorphic will just be a very long word.

So through 4 pages of discussion, who has the best price on a Thomas the Tank Engine set and does anyone have a James set, yet?
I ordered mine from Trainworld for $189, think it;s up to $199 now…? James not yet on mkt?
Thanks for the update.
It sounds like Percy and the Troublesome Trucks are in too.
Jon.
Brown Truck just dropped big box on front porch, will report back asap!
