Hi all, Was setting up this evening for the club meeting on Saturday (tomorrow) and the Open House on Sunday and couldn’t resist taking a coupa pictures. thanks for taking a look. Rick

Gorgooyus Rick! Did you scratch the water wagon? I like that very much. And how about a better pix of the steam shovel you so deviously gave us only a glimpse of?

Yea, what he said.......;)

Very nice. Only problem is you need to post more.

Cool.
Hope you have time during the Open House to take some more photos

Hey Rick,

Will your bro-in-law be doing the video of your Open House? He always does a fantastic job!

Hi Guys, Thanks for the comments. Richard, The water wagon was actually a kit, but a pretty basic kit. I did a lot of changing and adding to get the final product. Of course this was all done with a lot of help/advice from friends. I’ll see if I can’t dig up a picture or two of the shovel for you. Shawn, Would love to post more and intend to but seems like something is always distracting me or needing done before I get to the train posts and then I’m tired so I put it off. Ralph, I try to get a few pictures before and after the people are here. While they are here it seems like all I do is answer questions and visit. Hey Gary, Yes he is supposed to be here tomorrow to do some filming. Wheather he shows up or not who knows. You know these tempermental artists. Here is a little closer look at the water wagon that acts as a tender to the steam shovel.

Here is a view of the Marion Shovel. This was last years scratch building project. There is a complete interior and everything, with the exception of about 8-9 gears is scratched.

Here is a shot of them together.

And here is a shot of my latest distraction.

She is a one year old rescue that has been with us about 3 weeks. Thanks for taking a look. Rick

Great looking companion, friend, protector. BZ on rescuing her, too. All of my dogs have been Pound Puppies. They are great! Oh, yeah, the detail on the railroad is fantastic.

Looking good. Enjoy your busy weekend! Very nice “distraction.”

A few shots from the “late run” last evening. Thanks for taking a look. Rick

Great photos Rick! Lots of “atmosphere”. Thanks for posting. Have a great Open House today.

Good stuff

Rick, great shots. Thanks

I am really starting to think the raised roadbed method is the way to go. Great photos. our dog Max is almost 4 years old and looks just like yours.

I was never a fan of the typical raised roadbeds but what Rick and Richard have done is very nice. They added the details ect.... to go with the raised layout making it very realistic looking.

Marty, didn't you already start some of that with the bench work in the garage and the new steam table? There are a number of guys that have done some great raised bench work. Easy to see the advantage.
