THINGS JUST DON'T LAST

Like they use to.

I mixed up a batch of plaster to finish the bridge abutments this morning and when I was finished I washed out the wheelbarrow and left it sitting in the sun to dry. When I came back by in a couple of hours this is what I found.

I bought that “Contractors Special” wheelbarrow in 1976 and they told me that it would last a lifetime. Well I guess they were wrong, they will probably whine about honoring their warranty when I take it back to them tomorrow :).

The new tire you get will probably be tubeless. I can’t get them to last through a winter stored outside.

When is it due ?

I never buy things with a lifetime warranty. I always suspect they’ll just kill me if it breaks.

LMAO…That’s funny!

Well Rick…just how much longer than your allotted time will you last?

Anyway look at the bright side, it isn’t flat.

An Air Brake?

Richard,

I am working on it!!

I switched mine out to a solid tubeless tire and have never regretted it. Even switched the yard wagons tires from tube to solid as I was getting sick and tired of every time I wanted to use the wagon, or barrow, to find the tires low or flat and having to spend 15 minutes re-inflating them. Solids are the way to go, never had the problems Jon mentioned with his tubeless, but then I dont live in snow country either.

BTW I have a brand new tube type wheelbarrow wheel and tire still in the box for sale very cheap if anyone is interested…I gave my neighbor a new wheelbarrow for christmas (as mine was practically living over there up till then) and I swapped the tire out to tubeless, still have the stock wheel.

Yeap! LMAO!!

Rick

They just don’t make them like they used too.

That tire is pregnant enough to give birth to a wheelbarrow

That is funny, I don’t care who you are.

Dennis

Vic - I’m talking about tubeless air inflated, like car tires. Not solid tires. I’ve not seen the solid tires around here. Other than being heavy it sounds like a good idea. Maybe I should just inflate the tires with expanding foam like Great Stuff :]

I am worried. Mine is about the same age as yours!
