Steve - What is your source for this? I checked it on Snopes and can’t confirm or deny it. It sounds plausible, but I don’t like spreading these things around unless I can confirm them as legit.

Got one from the new Century whatever phone co. who took over my phone co. Embarq, notified them, and they wanted me to jump through hoops to help them with the spammer. I tried to help, but kept getting return messages asking for more cobbley gook!! Finally gave up trying to help the legitmate co. and about a week later received a legitmate email from the legitimate co. telling me about a current scam or fishing email, the one I turned in. So I guess if at first ya don’t suck seed keep right on sucking until you do suckseed!! Hah The Regal
Oh yeah and forgot I need a $1 from all you guy’s for expenses in my great effort against crime and corruption K??? It’s the RIGHT thing to do! Hee Hee
