a few days ago. It was absolutely priceless! I bet you Sarah Palin had a bit of difficulty understanding the French Prez, some of the stuff went straight over her head.
The important phrase in this article is this one:
Lee-Anne Goodman, The Canadian Press said:The folks who mismanaged McCains campaign are trying to smear the Guv'nor of Alaska, because they recognize that she is the future of the Republican Party, and they are desperate to hold on to their positions of power within the party.
If the anonymous McCain insiders are to be believed, Palin, a 44-year-old mother of five, was unaware that Africa was a continent, arguing that South Africa was simply a region of the larger country of Africa.
Notice that they do not have the courage to be attributed, because they know that it will cost them their jobs.
Fortunately, they have lackeys like HJ to carry their water for them.
edit: Stupid computer doesn’t recognize the correct spelling of “desperate.”
Steve, Steve,
I’m just trying to provide a semblance of balance.
OTOH not knowing which countries are part of NAFTA, hmmmmm I guess Alaska is somewhat remote, bigger than Texas, but whatever happened to their schoolsystem? You’d think if there’s no trickling down, there would at least be some perking up, eh?
Or is that the type of question that would be answered by Piper?
Dude, she is a journalism major from my alma mater, the University of Idaho. That should splain all!
The history department at the U of I is infested with liberals, for whom any answer on a test is ok. Everything is relative or relevant, or whatever the catchword is these days. Dr. Proctor, the only sane professor in the history department at the U of Idaho went on to his reward long before she got there.
Hey, sure does! Now, did you complete some kind of courses there? Tough exams, eh??
When I attended, yes.
Of course, they have never had a good football team.
I would imagine the Democrats would be licking their chops at the prospect of Sarah Palin being the next Republican candidate for President.
An honourable man got lumbered with her and the GOP sank to new lows this time around.
The Republicans would sink even further and into oblivion next time.
Assuming of course, Obama doesn’t screw up and delivers on his promises.
Isn’t it amazing that, now that he lost, how much the left loves McCain, again?
In a similar track to this, a couple years ago two local radio morning show DJs on KROQ called the then French Prime Minister pretending to be Jerry Lewis, and actually got through!

Afterwords when the truth came out the French were of course offended, but that was NOTHING compared to the hellfire Wrath of Lewis, who came down on these guys so hard they came within a chickens lips of being fired!
I was listening when this occured and it was pretty obvious Lewis’ voice was being faked, but it was very funny.

If McCain had conducted his campaign in the same gracious and dignified manner that he gave his concession speech, the outcome may well have been different.
If he would have conducted his campaign as his well rehearsed concession speech, he wouldn’t have been the Republican candidate.
Maybe, maybe not.
The way they did conduct the campaign sure didn’t work.
The Republican party lost my interest when they glommed on to the fanatical religious nutjobs. If they want me, and millions like me, back, they should go back to their small-government, for-the-people roots.
Steve Featherkile said:I'm a lot closer to center than left, so I cant speak for the collective, but I've always liked John McCain. He failed to deliver a clear message and, to me, he failed to look presidential. We've had a goofy president for 8 years and some of John's attempts at animated humor just made him look like a fool. I think he was mislead by his campaign. If he had stuck with his own true beliefs the election would have been much closer. After his address to the Republican convention I thought if he won I wouldn't be too disappointed. It went down hill from there very fast.

Did you ever notice how often Obama said that he respected John, and how he agreed with many of his positions? Not once did the McCain campaign allow John to show the same respect until the concession speech.
I really don’t think that John McCain himself lost the election. I thing the RNC and the McCain campaign stuffed it up.

I think you’ve got it right, there. If McCain had… but he didn’t, did he, for whatever reason. The revolving door in his campaign didn’t help much either.
And those “anonymous” folks who are trashing Sarah Palin, but don’t have the courage to put their name on their statements are symptomatic of the sickness within the McCain campaign.
