Large Scale Central

There's a bad moon on the rise.

I see a bad moon a-rising,

I see trouble on the way.

I see earthquakes and lightnin’

I see bad times today.

Don’t go 'round tonight

It’s bound to take your life

There’s a bad moon on the rise.

Now, admit it, you heard that in your mind as you read it, didn’t you.

I had planned to get some things done on the railroad, tomorrow. Blackcloud, the local weather-guesser has other ideas. Rain, lightening, wind to 50 kids. Gonna be a gully whumper, fer sher.

But wait, there’s more!
Different bands but what song could you get out of There’s a bad moon on the rise and I’m stuck in the middle with you?

Ugh. The weather here is bad too. I’ve just planted some annuals (a week ago) and it was 70 on Thursday. Last night the low was 16, the winds were gusting to 30 mph, and it snowed. Kansas weather is bipolar.

I was planning on having a few folks over the last Saturday in April, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to finish all the winter recovery work before then.

The weather is all to pot. Still waiting to plant some thyme but sure as eggs are eggs along will come a late frost (can’t trust the Met boys anymore!!)

I’m bummed out; this upper floor apartment doesn’t have a garden to put a railway in and I don’t have the physical health to build and maintain one anyway.

(though I do have a certain fantasy about how having a garden railway could come to be …)

But our little county seat farm burg does have its 14 member indoor small scale model train club and our monthly open house is today so there is that much to get a shooting the breeze and operating trains fix from.

Would be cool if it was in a place where we had a garden railway as well.

But wouldn’t it be fun to have some G scale space and a couple club members who did live steam and they could amaze the public with model steam trains that actually are steam trains.

I’d like if we had the space to set up a short reverse loop to reverse loop track with live trolley wire and mess with the heads of the 2-railers about there being no insulation on the reverse loop rails.

(because the live overhead is one side of the circuit and both rails make up the other)

Yea, I woke up to snow on the ground again this morning. I had plans on doing some work on the railroad. Oh well, the best laid plans of mice and men.

Its like winter is really madand keeps storming out of the room the room then coming back in and yelling “AND ANOTHER THING” over and over.

Well you guys are, its supposed to be in the 90’s most of this week here, with possible 100 on Wednesday

Summer is here! 90 degrees F and climbing says our Weather-wonderer.

True; and Hendrix sang “Excuse me while I kiss this guy” more than a few times - some of it recorded.

Spring is off to a very slow start here too. I may brave the 40 and cloudy weather today to bag up the last of the leaf pile left over from fall; or maybe I’ll just sit here and drink coffee.

I’ve opted for staying inside, by the fire with a good book, and coffeve. (https://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Yesterday was perfect, sun, no wind, 55°F.

I don’t need to tell you guys that the weather is beautiful in San Diego, it would just make you feel bad, so I won’t.

It’s April, and we usually have upper 50’s and lower 60’s by now, but it’s 27 degrees right now @ 10pm, and they’re calling for a 2" snowfall by Monday morning from a front coming from your neck of the woods, Steve
