Ok, here is my plan. Well change of plans it seems now. I had planned to build up a ground level Austrian narrow gauge railway using LGB stuff and eventualy live steam. I stumbled across a Roundhouse Billy locomotive, and while the Koppel locos were sold world wide, Billy still has a bit of UKness to him and with a few added details such as GWR style lamps. I am considering building the line around the railing of my deck as running manual control live steam at ground level can be a big challange. I am going to go with a point to point operation, bringing loaded slate wagons or skips from the quarry back to the home station and reload dock. If I go from one side to the opposite side of our deck railing, its a nice run distance at a slow to medium throttle setting. The current temporary garden line is all LGB track, basicly a start set with the Stainz and 2 passenger cars, I added the blue 2 axle dining car and a few extra piecs of track. I am putting all the LGB stuff up for sale/trade as I need some Peco or Mamod 32MM track and turnouts and some slate wagons or skips. Being orginaly from the New England area, I am thrifty and that seems to carry into the typical UK style layouts, while letting the nature do the rest of over growing the line to give it the old world look. With overgrown moss covered tracks and very simple equipment. I will post pics once I get started. Still in the planning and equiptment buying phase with the most expensive part done, ie the live steamer. Cheers Mike
