In the process of rewriting an old article I have had to update the links. What I have found is it often takes SEVERAL tries to perform the update. That is, when I hit the update button, nothing has cchanged and I have to go through the motions all over again of entering the revised data. All my edited work is lost. This is very frustrating because it is so time-consuming and repetitive. I have tried editing using BOTH Firefox AND Explorer with the SAME results. Sometimes update works, but more often, lately, it only reverts me. Has “update” become “revert?”
Ah! I found the html editor! Now I can set up the pages and save them on my Frontpage editor. As it turns out, this option works well (so far) !
Ron, it is empirically obvious to the most casual observer that you weren’t holding your jaw right when trying to update your page.

Seriously, I have resorted to using the html function exclusively. That way I can save the entire text. Otherwise it becomes extremely irritating trying again and again to save a picture
or text that somehow seem to resist being saved. I believe that is what I must have done before. It has been a long time . . .
I am having on-going problems with the “update” function. I can enter the html, press “update,” and obtain the page I entered. But when I then hit “update” at the bottom, the page refuses to update.
Sometimes it works properly, but often it does not. However I have finally succeeded in revising the existing pages of the article. There are definitely gliches in this system, but I was able to work around THIS one for now.
