The things you learn from your grandchildren.

Grandson: Grandpa, today is Christmas Adam.

Me, just starting on first cup of coffee: Mmmmmmmm?

Grandson: Yeah, today is Christmas Adam.

Me, starting to come alive as caffeine begins to course through my arteries: OK, come over here and sit next to me and tell me all about it.

Grandfather and grandson enscounce themselves on the sofa, in front of a roaring fire in the wood stove.

Grandfather: Now, tell me, how is today Christmas Adam?

Grandson: Well, tomorrow is Christmas Eve, so today has to be Christmas Adam, since he came first.

Grandfather: Coffee spew.

Readers Digest still pays for quibs like that. Thats what it’s all about Grandpa. You will never forget that moment the two of you shared.

Write that down, and at his wedding, when they pass the mic around, pull that out and share it with your new grand-daughter in law.

Brilliant kid!
