I was outside last night running trains with my four year old. We were sitting on his little kids bench. I was running my railcar and he was running a sparky. Out of the blue he looks at me and says “daddy I like trains, flowers and hot Mama’s” I almost spit my drink out when he said that.
I told my wife what he said and now she wants to put a sign on the layout that says trains, flowers and hot Mama’s.
He had to have heard it SOMEWHERE, Dad!
A-yup, he’s gonna fit right in. 
Wait till he starts ridin the school bus…

I’ll always remember the first two words my kid strung together into a sentence. I had put him on one of those 25 cent rides at the mall, and it had run down and stopped. He was plainly bewildered and disappointed. He looked at the still machine he was sitting on. He looked at me and said, “More money.”
Now there’s a philosophy to get you through life. So I told myself the kid’s going to be all right. Cheers!
