Large Scale Central

The siding at Hesperus

Dude! Looks good Ken!! However it does not appear to be handicap accessible? ;)
Rooster, Not to fear. I understand KFC uses the whole bird. You won't be needing any HC ramps :D

Ken,
Looks great. I’m still planning my building. You’re already done.
Ralph

I wouldn’t ask Rooster for imput there Ralph

That’s really magnificent!

Thanx, guys. Ralph had sent me an old time gas pump with the glass tube at the top and I was wondering what I could do with it. I think it’ll go good with this building.

Ken,

If you mentioned it, I missed it. What is the main building roof made from? Precision Plastics? Who is selling that now?

The roof and fish scale siding on the top floor are all from Precision Products, Ric. Most times I order it direct from there as most places don’t carry the full line.

I thought they were out of business or the business was bought or something like that. I thought they weren’t at York this last year.

They may have changed hands. They’re web site was down for a few days, but that must have been during the transition.

Ridge Road Station stocks a good bit of P.P. material.

That will work. Back in the day, one store sold everything. We still have a store like that up the road. Feed, seed, fertilizer, hardware, groceries and gas. And it's not a Super WallyWorld. Ralph

Took it outside for a test fit…

Multiple violations from the building inspection here. Steps have too much rise and not any run. No railing and anyone that opens the side double doors will step right out and break a bone. Not to mentions handicap accessibility. All in all it’s a wonderful structure (even with out the stained glass in the diamond window)

Dave - I think Ken’s modeling an era when people took responsibility for themselves and didn’t need the government to protect them from their own stupidity  If you are stupid enough to walk out the loading door without looking down you deserve to bust something !

We don’t need no stinkin’ building codes !!!

SOooo…this means I can work my tie loader without the outriggers dropped and in place then?

Sure, until you lift more weight that the car alone will support, then its your own damn fault that you crashed a $100,000 truck and got a bump on your head. Just don’t let Andy do it. We need to keep him healthy !

I think the rooster has too much shine
Otherwise, everything looks great
Ralph

Perfect! When does it get placed outside?

Yea, me too…needs a shot of Dullcote…

Bruce, most likely in the spring, when it warms up…

I like the gloss on the rooster - and the color! Just being outside should take the shine off…
