The rain

… it raineth copiously upon the just (Fr Fred) and the unjust (yes, dear, that’s me).
Lotsa pools around, because the drains are under several feet of compacted snow.
And it’s gonna freeze hard tonight …

…ahhh, young Christopher; you bring tears to my eyes…I know what it’s going to be like around here for the next while; that’s why I subscribe to the idea of hibernation.

Lean back in that easy chair; tell everyone to look after their own problems. Pour a stiff one, and relax.
There is one hope that has just come to mind.
The days are supposed to be starting to get longer, and I'm doing my sundance this coming midnight, in spite of the high water levels.

There is a full moon tonight, my son, as you should know.

Seems that a full moon has something to do with some ancient, heathen celebrations that occur round about now !!!

This slightly warm spell will make the dance just that much more exciting; what with a bit of ice, and my inflexable old bod; we might see a bit of a juggle to see if I can stay on my feet.

Can’t you see the headlines, that some poor editor will have to come up with early Monday morning…
OVERWEIGHT SENIOR, CAUGHT NUDE DANCING, AT MIDNIGHT…slipped and slid under car, found in morning in blue condition…

Hey; you're the editor....you tell the tale.....!!!!

It snowed to day at the Feather Creek Ranch. Light, fluffy stuff that was just made for plowing!

Now it is raining, turning all that wondrous snow into slush. :frowning:

It is supposed to go into the low 20’s F tonight.

I have an hour’s drive at midnight into Spokane to catch the Empire Builder, Train #27 to Vancouver, WA.

Sigh.

On the bright side, I booked a sleeping compartment for my lovely bride and I.

Fr. Fred, how far does the magic of your midnight dance extend?

Steve, my son;

It extends to anywhere a believer is enjoying life…enjoy great sunshine, either in the sky around you, or in your heart where I know there is a good supply.

Last week was the 40th anniversary of the last time we had snow in Sandy Eggo.
