Large Scale Central

The Purr RR

Do you have a cat on your railroad that likes to sleep in tunnels or use the track ballast as a toilet.
I do.
He now has his own reefer car. I saw this on eBay and had to have it for my “weird and whimsey” collection. Made by USA trains.

John;

Ruby is my track inspector. She is also mostly Maine Coon, and tends to make even large scale look small. (Perhaps I should start looking at 1.5-inch scale. :roll_eyes:)

P.S. Regarding your comment concerning mistaking the ballast for a litter pan. My second American Flyer layout was in my Grandmother Larish’s basement. The ballast was kitty litter. I built an Ambroid winged snowplow kit in S scale for just that reason. Fortunately, Tuffy turned his nose up at the ballast, and the plow never had to be used.

Stand in for when y’all’s cat doesn’t cooperate.

Purrfect (crap, did I just type that?) for tunnel stuffing:

That pic just reminded me of this. I hated the cats at Christmas!

Exiting the tunnel on our PŪRR.

Hilarious, never seen anything like that Bill.

I’m glad you posted that second photo, my initial reaction to the first one made me think you’d had your cat… um… mounted?

It’s the fun thing with building a house. You can include a tactical litter box, in a cupboard, with an exhaust fan.

From their website, the other side looks like this. We thought mounting the tail version in the hallway was more amusing.

Ooh! @Dave_Meashey get your wallet out! Just found a “ducking & weaving” hobbit door.

Bill;

The “hobbit house” door looks great, only Ruby would be too large to use it
.

She is somewhere between a beagle and a Jack Russell terrier in size. She is very sweet and gentle, but she could be as bad as a wildcat if she were on the inclined to be feisty.
