The Prince of Darkness is DEAD

Yep, you read it here, A sad (or maybe happy?) day for British car buffs. Lucas has folded his tent and retired from the field. (OK, the holding company did it, but the other sounded more dramatic) Seems about 680 people came in to work yesterday to find they didn’t have jobs anymore.

Wonder if they’ll get a billion dollar bailout too?

The company’s outlook was dim, it flickered a bit when they got sold, and now it’s off.

It’s even more appropriate that not only did the staff employment fail suddenly and without warning, it was just after everyone thought it had been fixed.

The employees were surprised - they’re used to the lights being off when they get to work.

I got a million of em!

That’s why TAC drinks warm bheer, he buys Lucas refrigerators. What is he going to do now?

Actually, old Joe Lucas died in Naples in 1902 after drinking water stored in one of his refrigerators.

Of late, the outfit that supplied Lucas bits has been well-known in the Limey Limo community for…QC issues.

Like, distributor rotors that lasted 4 miles.

Funny, most of the stuff seemed to have “China” all over it.

That just means someone will now start making the bits we need, like NAPA.

Steve - you must be thinking of another tac - this one doesn't drink beer, warm or cold. And a refrigerator is an expensive luxury here, don't they run on electricity or something?

tac, back.

‘God Bless our troops. Especially our snipers.’

My apologies on the bheer, TAC. I knew that you lived far enough out in the bush that you didn’t have a 'fridge that plugged into the wall, but i figured you LRP types had pedal powered generators. I know that Lucas made some during Big 2.
