Looking good Shawn. Nature seems to be taking over the CVSRy. Ran a train late Tuesday evening and had to stop every few feet to cut back overgrowth! Track still has some major issues in a few places, but is passable with slow orders. Might get something done soon as this is a 4 day weekend for me.

I made up a short 5 or 6 minute video last Friday. Eventually I’d like to get all the engines on video.

Very nice layout Ken, Love the watermill. Great video.

Great video Ken. The layout looks great with all the summer colors. The Mill looks at home on their.

Copy cat…

Nice video Ken B. Really looks real…

Took a couple of shots of my CJM SD-45 at work the other day. It was in the evening and the weather was awesome ! It seems the Aristo smoke unit was doing its thing too. Had a great evening grilling out and watching the 30 car train make its way around the yard .

Excuse the cross post of these photos from another thread, but it’s Summer and I finally ran a train!

…grinning…

I’m double posting like Jon. While I was running today I staged this shot for an article in the garden club my wife belongs to. Enjoy.

Here’s a few from today’s operation that didn’t go into the Engine House thread. This was the first outdoor operation with the JMRI Operations module this summer. The House lead and tracks add a lot more capacity making for more action on the switch list. My sweep train run just after dark was 11 cars. That’s the most has ever been outdoors at once during an operating session.

M-11 passes by the new house on the main at Pine Summit…

Switching the house…

I still need to decide what industry occupies the house. It may remain King Coal, the original industry on this spur before it was extended to the house, but I’m open to ideas. Coal Hoppers and Tank Cars are plentiful and not in demand at other industries.

You guys are doing great with your railroads. And someone has been doing lots of gardening!
I do have a question for Ken. How do you keep from getting run over in your videos?

Quick feet…

Jon,

Great pictures! The engine house looks good. One thought for use of siding would be the CVRwy R.I.P. track. That way any cars could go to it, but actually sounds like more of a function for one of the tracks inside. Something of an industry with both tank and hopper loads. Fuel Oil and Coal Distribution? With winter unloading facilities.
