On Saturday morning, October 24, the Hugh Jass Chair Company Box Car #301 left the North Table Creek Garden Railroad in Nebraska City, Nebraska on it’s way to the Prescott Canyon Southern Garden Railroad in Prescott, AZ. The route to Prescott was through Grand Island, NE., Sterling, CO, Golden, Glenwood Springs via Glenwood Canyon, Ouray, Silverton, Durango and Flagstaff. It arrived in the yards of the PCSGRR late Tuesday afternoon on 10/28. After being switched to the main track, it was picked up by the Prescott Canyon Mining Company’s mine train and taken to the remote logging site. Images of the transfer were captured as it passed the settlement just north of the Rocky Ridge tunnel.
