John, I dunno. I see an awful lot of potential in that shop. I didn’t notice anything “disgusting”
David,
I’ve got to get those bench’s cleared! Who knows what is under those piles.
It will take me a day just to sort out my wood and get it bundled back up.
Yup. And then you can have all kinds of fun. There is just so much build fodder there, you can have a blast.

aparently i am using more materials than i colect. - at least there is more free space on the floor, than in the last set of pics…
only my “might come in handy some day” shelves are still overflowing.

woodstorage under the layout and in the attic.

and gladly less and less lumber and stuff clogging the future upper level of the layout.
thanks Boomer!
(and i woun’t mention how much hard and disciplined work made this possible…
…very few, if any pass inspection…No bheer fridges in sight…
One thing about photos of sheds, you get to see some really neat ideas on how tools & materials are stored. Korm has some really good ideas!
I like the way the electric drills are stored in what looks like plastic bottles, the paper towel above the bench where it is handy to use when reqiured. Mine usually get squashed under something and then hard to find. Also the hammers are held in one area at the end of the bench.
Thanks for the all photos guys!

That’s all it takes. Have one of those at the shop, along with a microwave and a Tassimo coffee machine. Nope, no beer (or bheer) in the fridge.
The gourmet catering place is next door and the Pizza joint two minutes walk away. All as convenient as at home, but a bit more expensive.
This is one small area in Fred’s workshop. But it all looks the same. It always takes longer to find the proper tool than fix whatever need repairing.
In its heyday the beer fridge was full, the pot bellied stove hot, there were more people crammed in than spaces to sit, and there was always a project like the Craig Leigh passenger station or Dominion Post Office building on the go.
Now like the EBT is sits dark and empty like a time capsule of another era.
Here are a couple shots of me and my incredibly messy workspace. These were taken two years ago, and sadly it’s only gotten worse. The self-portrait was achieved using the highly sophisticated trick of holding the camera at arm’s length:
Ray,
that magnifying lamp springs to the eye. for two reasons. first there is nothing piled up upon it and it explains your fine interiors, you showed over the time.
Bruder Fred,
a Bier fridge? where? i don’t have room for that. not even for a coffee machine.
but one of the doors leads to the kitchen, 20 paces to the fridge, the other door to the store with four commercial beverage fridges. so i don’t feel under-supplied.
Andrew,
hereabouts they sell milk in 1 quart plastic bags. and they sell holders for these bags, that they can be used like cans.
i just drill a hole in the bottom of these holders, that the span head and the drill bit can stick out through the bottom.
the grips come in handy for the cables.
got that idea, after i couldn’t find pistol holsters big enough for drills.
I still keep my area pretty neat but I think this explains it.

Same here; I haven’t that much time left, need to make good use of it.
This was almost 10 years ago, and if anything its exactly the same if not worse
