Mik where can I get a little critter block? Couldnt find anyone selling it unless the brick is called something else. I really want to try bashing something like you did.
Is the critter block the same as the Eggliner’s?
I was hoping to see my dealer at an open house but hope to talk to him on Friday.
Doug found it for me. I’ve occasionally seen them listed on Aristo dealers’ webpages as well. The p/n WAS ART29351 – but that now comes back as the U boat brick…

I think, next spring at York, anyone who has eggliners should go to Roosters house and run them on his layout.... :)

I'll buy one just to run at Rooster's and gift it to his wife for her wonderful hospitality :D Ralph

I agree that Eggliners are out of touch with our layouts(http://www.lscdata.com/users/doug_arnold/_forumfiles/Eggliners%20march.JPG)
For something that is out of touch it has managed to progress to two pages of humorous, tongue in cheek, posts. lol I believe I once read that the Eggliner is one of the best selling items of Aristo’s arsenal. There are many new releases of it, far more than the steam outline models, so I guess that proves the point. I also agree than the Eggliner is a great way to encourage youngsters - and wives quite often - to join in and enjoy the hobby. Maybe I should get one. lol
Hi Fred
The front two are my wife’s and the back three are the club president’s wife’s Eggliners. Those back three actually didn’t come from John.
Alan, you mentioned the popularity. That red and blue one in the line the club president’s wife just purchased at the Tacoma show. It is new to their line.
We bought our Eggliners to run on the club layout and teach a 10-year-old about running trains. They are an inexpensive way to get kids involved in railroading. I do need to put Kadees on one.
They are hard to derail and seem to be very indestructable. It sure seems to be a lot better for teaching than the tears you’ll shed when a kid crashes your favorite engine!
And as Mik’s work shows, the motor blocks are good for projects!

I’m thinkin a new Eggliner arrives every Valentines Day.
I have enough pictures of you I should be able to roll with it for ten years…or more
Ralph
What do you think of a special Eggliner with a Rooster picture on it?
I always sorta wanted to make a benedict eggliner …
Just imagine what it would look like!
ROOSTERLINER…Has a nice ring to it

The horse is dead can we stop beating it yet?

Is the last Eggliner trying to catch “UP” with the rest. Yeh, I know, it’s a bad pun, I’m only trying to take the heat of Rooster. Anyway, what’s this wives and kids thing, adults (read ‘big kid’) can enjoy them too, I have 3 with another coming soon, the grand kids do luv em though.
It should have been a little smaller and then it would look like a baby Eggliner!
At least they never scrambled!
