The Maine two-foot lives again!

This time, in South Wales.

Have a look at any of the youtube movies of the Brecon Mountain Railway - home of a surviving Maine two-foot pacific and 2-6-2 - still in the process of being rebuilt. See the beautiful Baldwin pacific #2 hauling her train around the gentle hills of Brecon.

A reminder of just how small the two-foot rolling stock and locomotives really was!

Interesting that they have a Baldwin loco.

Not really, Baldwin built lots of export locomotives…

(disregard.)

TWO Baldwin locomotives, actually.

Their combine is a full-size replication of the SR&RL version…quote - 'the caboose was built to an original 1903 American drawing from the Sandy River Railroad in Maine.

PS - How many two-foot Baldwins in fully operational order are there in the US of A?

The engineer is on the left side, isn’t he?
