The KVRWY Switching Puzzle at York - 2010

Trying to take a few different views of the Switching OPs this year. It sure was fun.

Already looking forward to the next time.

Too much fun! Got to be something wrong with that.

I ain’t figgered out who has more fun with that…Ric…or the kids that show up…

Definately Ric followed by Ric

As I sat and watched operations and operators on the Timesaver both Friday and Saturday I must say that I totally enjoyed it and I know of NO better instructor than Ric! His patience, expertise and level of explanation to our youth is incredible. That earn’s 5 golding stars in my book!
We all build, mod, create and share with each other but the Timesaver is really awesome work in it’s own way!

Your the Grasshopper! ;)

Boy, five golding stars, that and a dollar would get you a bad cup of coffee in a lot of places. I think I do have more fun than the kids. Some of those kids have come back 3 and 4 years. I really don’t have to do much. And every once in a while I get to run my own trains. However, without all the people gathering in “the Alcove”, it wouldn’t be near as much fun. I really think I only made it into the dealer hall 3 or 4 times and it was for a short period of time. However, with everyone gathering at the Alcove, I know all the deals I lost out on. This was our 8th year in the Alcove and it gets better every year. When Bob Temper started joining us, it added an extra flavor. About 3 years ago Harry asked if we would move out on the main floor by Yogi. Now I like Yogi, but I thought we had done something wrong when they were asking us to move. Snack bar on one side, bathroom on the other and we park our cars right outside. Best spot in the show, to me. There are a whole lot of friends and club members that help me pull this off. I sure do want to thank them all. Jan noticed how everyone helps me get everything in, including Bob Temper, and then Bob drags his stuff in by himself. I think we have to work on that part.
