These pictures are just a few of the pics I took of my sideyard railroad in various stages of being built. It has a basic theme of when the time comes when California from San Jose to Los Angeles is so industrialized that it sits on steel plates. No other schemes or dreams like my backyard railroad has. The backyard railroad has a story line for every thing on it including the hookers. I ended up building this sideyard railroad because I made a typical newbie mistake when I got going with this hobby. I did not research anything about what they meant when they talked about four foot diameter curves and so on. The backyard road has four foot diameter curves and I bought four engines that need 8 foot curves. Well, I kept the engines and built the sideyard road for them. I spend more time on the backyard road because it’s my firstborn so to speak and use the sideyard road when I get intoxicated and just like to sit and watch them go around or when I have company coming that wants to see the trains.
