Pretty melodramatic but quite a factual description of these monsters and
their legacy.
Those dredges were brilliantly designed machines.
I used to watch the reality show “Gold Rush” and one of the characters, Tony Beets bought a derelict bucket dredge and he restored it to working order. I think he bought another but never got it running.
It was crazy to think that a company built a dredge, used it to gobble up the gold and then when it was done they just left it to rot.
I just had an idea. This years Mik build should be, you have to build a dredge for your RR. 
I think most of us would need more than 30 days 
It would certainly be a race to the finish with an all nighter on the last day a given. Having a rusting derelict dredge on any layout would really be something to behold!

Probably pretty easy. Just make a three story boarding house and add a couple of conveyor belts.
