Large Scale Central

The dawning of the atomic age

I found a photo of a narrow gauge tank car in the Narrrow Gauge and Short Line Gazette magazine and thought it would be a good way to add some interest to a rather drab accucraft tank car. The cars were used to transport fuel oil to the mines and processing faculities located near Placerville Colo. along the Rio Grande Southern narrow gauge railroad. Standard Chemical co. was located near Pittsburg Pa. and had a mine in the San Juan Mts of Colo. The ore was processed in Colo. and then refined in Pittsburg. They were one of the first companies to mine and refine radio active ores into products used for medicine and science.
I am trying to post some photos of finished car.

Dave? Did you just discover you were on this Forum? I’m sorry, I don’t understand the reason behind the posting of your link to this site?

Your images need be hosted on a server someplace on the web, then (here at least) you need only type in the URL for the image. For example: http* : //1stclass.mylargescale.com/eastbroadtop/EBT1/EdRob01.jpg (without the *) yields

Your path is incomplete. Lacks your user information. Also, remove the ( ) from “small”.
