Large Scale Central

The CVRR gets it's first road unit!

Ex L.V. GP38-2 #317 arrived late this afternoon wearing her new logo fresh out of the Mechanicsburg shops.

Nice looking I like that scheme. Sure hope it doesn’t throw a wrench in the works.

David, very nice looking engine and scheme…

Thanks Dad! ;)

Dave,
I think that unit would look awesome pulling the “circus train” into town! Ringling Bros. was just at Giant Center (Hershey)

It would at that, but it might need a helper.

Great looking work. I must say I’m also impressed with the bridge work. My bridges come out looking like something out of the old log cabin kits or looking like left over old erector set parts. I never did have the patience for fine detailed work but settled for rough work instead.

Rudolf, can you make your signature picture a bit larger? A little bit more and it will be the only thing on the page1

Greg

Very spiffy Dave.

Very nice, Dave. Where’s the rest of the train?

Cool Dave.
I really like the wrench and nut in the graphics. Very imaginative.

I’ll see what I can do Greg. Did you want it to fit the whole page or should I go a bit beyond

Greg,
I think I just screwed up and made it smaller. I realize you wanted it bigger. Sorry.

I live in the town of "MECHANICSburg" and this is what I do for a living so I thought the wrench would be neat. The original CVRR has some hellish history to it (est 1835 and operational 1837) The Pioneer loco from the CVRR now resides in the Smithsonian and the oldest documented railcar resides at Strasburg so I'm pretending that it still exists. Most of the trackage is still here and right behind my home now operated and owned by NS.

Very nice graphic David. Sure is nice to have a friend with a sign shop
