Nice looking 7 1/2" locomotive. That’s somebody with more money than I can imagine… Nice scenery in the Z layout. Just wish I could see the train…
Warren Mumpower said:Guy in our area does Z ... God knows how, he's older 'n I am. His big layout lives in a steamer trunk ... bring trunk to show, open it, run trains (well, there's a couple of minor things he has to do before he opens the throttle). Has a smaller layout in a violin case; oval at the body end, terminus up the neck. And a couple of others, just for variety. Gads, this weekend saw the 30th annual Ottawa Railfair, and I've been there for almost all of them ... Some work of noble note may yet be done

Gee, and I thought this was about a chili cook-off in preparation for Fred’s Invasion thingy.
Fred’s not having a thingy. Marty has The Thingy…
And then there were some guys from WA …
They are in the Seattle area. That’s the OTHER Washington…
Yeah, Warren. Someone wised me up on the relative merits of the different Washingtonians.
It’s more or less the same North of the Border, anything beyond Hope is beyond hope and it doesn’t matter which direction you travel.
All you have to remember is “The Great Inland Northwest”…and the other place.
There’s a little town in North Idaho called Hope. (Near Sandpoint)
The next little town down the road is called “Beyond Hope”
True story…
Here some more from the Puget Sound Group
Low and behold, there also was a FREMO modular layout at the show. Running point to point!
This is the WA module of the FREMO set-up And of course lots of the N variety
On this N layout the trains were running at proper scale speed! What an eyeopener!
