I’m originally from Gardnerville, NV just south of Carson City, in which I also lived most of my life. I have walked many a mile of the Carson & Colorado RR line through the desert and remember it well. The most interesting part of the line for me is the Candelaria area and Mt. Montgomery abandon trackage. When you walk this part of the line you can feel the wind blowing in your face and the dead quiet, so loud you can hear your heartbeat. I could imagine the train passing though this area breaking the silence! Thanks for the video, brings back a lot of memories.
