Large Scale Central

That model HST not fast enough?

Someone took exception to a Stainz passing an LCE/ICE on the club’s layout. There had to be a way! The resulting modified train at full speed (actual 19km/h = approx 551km/h in 1:29)

PS The track isn’t quite up to German HST standards.

I love it. That viaduct is really impressive. I hope the passengers in that train were well restrained or well cushioned.

This reminds me of my old Rockwall Canyon Rocket. Equipped with a 24v battery, and on/off switch, and a prayer!

Viaduct is most impressive !!! Let’s not leave the HST out though.

That ICE looks right at home on that layout hauling over that viaduct. I was hoping to see it passed by the Stainz.

That is an impressive looking train Rockwall Jeff. Any video of that one doing its 24 volt gallop?

“old Rockwall Canyon Rocket.”

Gee that implies that its not around anymore. Did it meat with an untimely and unfortunate demise?

Actually, after many…many, many replacement gears and off rail excursions, the RCRR Rocket was relettered to Amtrak and given to Ray Shoop. At this point, I was in my 1:20.3 phase of life and had no use for it. He eventually passed it on to a fellow in the NHGRS where it continues to run at our shows (somehow).
