It is a great day to offer thanks to all our Veterans.

I heard the greatest response to the statement, “Thank you for your service”.

The response was “It was an honor to serve”.

To my fellow veterans, Those that stood shoulder to shoulder with me.

We alone know the pride within, and the sorrow for our brothers that gave all. We stand a little taller, during the National Anthem, We still salute with a crispness, and we cry a little tear when we hear the mournful playing of taps. A fighter overhead is the sound of freedom, and our flag is a source of pride. Our brothers stood proud at Lexington, Normandy, Hue’, Desert Storm and the mountains of Afghanistan. We are VETS, and damm proud of it.

I sent texts to 2 veterans that were supposed to arrive at 11:11. One was delayed and arrived at 11:12, the other went to his wife instead. Good thing I wasn’t a sharpshooter.
