The real importance of what Greg has calculated isn’t the ratio. i.e. a new person could make one post, get “thanked” and be at 1.00 = the highest ratio possible.
What I find of interest is that four names appear in both top ten lists:
Bob McCowan - not surprising, but a statistical anomaly since he is the creator and owner of the forum and many of his posts and “thanked” are a reflection of that unique position.
That leaves three mere mortals:
Rooster
Dave Maynard
Jon Radder
Meaning if you post a lot and receive a lot of thanks (regardless of ratio) you are certainly a significant benefit to the forum. IMHO (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
One other thought. Names that are not in the “Thanked” top ten list that I would expect to see based on their participation and great respect in the forums:
Dave Taylor
Ray Dunakin
Dennis Rayon
Andy Clarke
John Caughey
Kevin Strong
Ric Golding
Todd Haskins
