Large Scale Central

Thank you Bob McCown

A big thank you from Downunder for allowing me the opportunity to participate at this site.

Right from the start I preferred this site for the camaraderie on offer between like thinking adults.

Well, “like thinking” when it comes to trains, anyway.

Well said all … Thanks Bob.

And Tony … of course we like thinking… who doesn’t like thinking?

Yeth Tony. You thurly are a real thinker!

I have fun here, get a kick out of you guys.

I have to agree with many things said in this thread, especially the Kudo’s to Bob for making this site a place to return to again and again. If it weren’t for LSC, I wouldn’t be able to see everyones fantastic modeling, great craftsmanship in building, and I wouldn’t realize just how much of a novice I am at model railroading…BUT; I also wouldn’t realize how much I have learned an improved since this hobby pulled me in a few years ago!!

Thanks Bob and Merry Christmas to you, your family, and ALL of our family members here at LSC!!

You people are providing the content, I'm just providing the venue. You all come here because you want to, and think that the information here is valuable in some way. And its all free.
Bob...I believe I understand your thoughts about what you have created. You and many others have done and are doing an amazing job! The above quote hits me though, so I thought I would share my LSC story in a nutshell as it's the holidays and these are times for sharing.....right??

There are 2 David Russells here on the member list. One that joined in 2001 and one that couldn’t remember his password in 2007!!..oops
I got hooked on G scale when I sought out my only sons “first” train set for his “first” Christmas!
From 2001 till currently.I did nothing but read the forums, asorbed as much as I could, logged into chat occasionally and if memory tells me correct… Tiny was always talking about movin’ rocks and had the gun slinging avatar. Then we have Fred and the OVGRS holy water crew which still and shall continue, remember the guys making fun of you(Bob) because you were no longer the youngest one in chat?
Your site has some amazing knowledge and filled with amazing people! This has been a fantastic informative resource for me personally!
A “HUGE” Holiday thank you and blessings to all that post here!

        ;)
