The Texas State Fair this year signed a 3 year contract with Paul Busse from Kentucky. Paul made a outdoor layout with 5 loops and one point-to-point. All landscaping materials are of natural materials including the buildings.
Paul made several building depicting Texas history. including the Alamo, San Jacinto Monument, historic houses, buildings and a oil town with many oil rigs.
I have put up a web page showing some of the design work Paul does, he annually puts displays like this in many Botanical Gardens including the one in New York at Christmas time.

This is a must see this year at the Fair, I just spend Monday afternoon volunteering my time talking to people about Garden railroading. It was very enjoyable, also had to do a surprise on camera interview with a local TV station.
