I used to love to fly in the DC-9. They would shoot up into the sky like a rocket. The thrust would push you back in the seat.
One year I flew out on an Ozark Airlines DC-9. Great flight.
The return flight was a brand new MD-80. As I boarded the plane, the floor would sag with my every step.
The MD-80 took the entire runaway to get off the ground. The engines revved up and down the entire flight.
The cabin lights kept flickering.
It was such a sorry experience, I haven’t flown since
