Terry "TAC" Foley

I just received notice that LSC British member, Terry Foley has passed away MHRIP.
I know I will very much miss him…very much a gentleman, and a true Friend for many years.
His kindness ever lingered and will continue for many years to come in wonderful memories of his Friendship, care, and compassion. he leaves behind his wife “Gaynor” and a daughter. He also has relatives in Ontario Canada, and Western US of A.

If anyone in England can add to this information; PLEASE jump in…he was very well known over there…

Major Bummer, Fred!

That’s a shot of Don Howard on the left and TAC on the right…

Oh no, so sad to hear. He was a great modeler and train fan. Though we never met in person we came close once at Dick Smith’s Port Orford Coast RR. To my good luck a few small pieces of his modeling ability still live on the Shasta Pacific.
Condolences to the family and to all that will miss his quiet presence on the train forums.

Sorry to hear of his pasing

he is one of those, that are missed.
rest in peace.

Sad to hear of Tac’s passing. Prayers for him and his family.

Rest in peace, TAC. Another OG gone. WE did a lot of back and forth emails in the early days.

Fr. Fred;

Very sorry to learn this. Prayers for the family, but I do thank you for the information.

Regards, David Meashey

I enjoyed talking with TAC on GSC. As Dave said, Thank you, Fr Fred, for sharing this with us. He will be missed

RIP, another great one leaves us

I had the pleasure to meet Terry at one of Fred’s American Invasions quite a few years ago. We also traded emails and a Facebook post or two. He was always a gentleman and I was better for knowing him. May you rest in peace Terry.

He will also be missed by IG, his constant companion at train events. That’s IG in Bruce’s picture above.

RIP Terry. I never met Terry, but we did have a couple chats in the forums over the years. His personality and superior model work will be sorely missed.

That’s really sad to hear, I traded a lot of posts with him between here, MLS, GR, and GSC. :disappointed:

Dang, TAC was a great guy, always enjoyed his contributions here. He will be missed.

I’m sorry to hear of his passing.

Back in the day 2008 I had built a model of my shop. In the build log (long gone I think) I mentioned I wish I had a classic Saab 900 in about 1:24 scale to go in front of it. Low and behold Terry had one and sent it to me!

It was totally awesome until I allowed Hollywood to run his Circus Train here. He done wrecked the dang thing allowing the gorilla to escape ravaging the town.
