The best part: the guys who recorded it back in the sixties will soon be old enough to fit right in, ohhhhhhhhhhhhh crap … so will I!

Holy Smokes - I think that actually WAS Pete Townsend singing that song!!!

When he sings this song today, does he sing the same lyric or does he sing “Hope I dont die because I’m old” ? LOL

I went to a Beach Boys concert last year. One of the great lines from the show was, “If I knew that I would still be singing the same songs 40 years after they were written, I would have written them in a lower key, and a slower tempo.”

Come on, Vic!

Old Pete had much more of a stutter in those lyrics, I was there, I remember!

Why is Pete Townsend like a wooden dresser?

Both can hear about the same.

PS the LOUDEST concert I EVER went to was THE WHO in 81’… My ears rang for 3 days straight…of course being 50 feet from the stage didnt help .

Thanks for posting this Bob

My interest in The Who was rekindled by CSI. Picked up most of the old recordings CD and they still sound great played loud in the car. This is music that leads to speeding tickets.

We almost went to see them last fall in a small venue at the start of their US tour. I decided against it since two of the original 4 are now gone and the ticked prices were astronomical. I’d gladly pay it to see the 60’s or early 70’s band, but not just for Townshend and Daltrey. Heard they were still good though.
