Just yesterday my Airwire T9000 gave up the ghost and left me wondering what I should do. I figured to give eBay a try and sure enough I bought one for $15.00 from a guy selling stuff from an estate sale. He says it looks new but could not test it but for $15.50 it sounded like a start buy, hope it works.
You should contact AL at Airwire about repairing it. He did me a solid on my G2 Decoder about a month ago.
Chris
Good idea to check the revision level of both. An update in the software fixed one of mine.
I don’t believe the old T9000 can’t be revised.
Give Al a call at CVP, “show 9” displays the software level.
Bob if it works you’re ahead.
The other one may be able to be fixed then you will have a spare
Bob,
What are the symtoms of the T9000 that doesn’t work?
The buttons are faulty and you need to push them hard to make a contact, also the power just cuts off for no reason and I keep needing to turn it off and on again to get connection again.
Bob,
I had one that kind of acted like that. I opened it up and sprayed some contact cleaner in it. Wiped it off and closed it up. It worked much better. Might be worth a try.
Sound like it got left out in the rain. I second Paul’s approach. Just don’t ask us how we know. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
Well its a good thing I only paid $15.50 because its a T9000E and doesn’t work with battery even though it looks the same.
Bob,
Contact me. I have a T9000 that I was thinking of selling on Ebay. Maybe we can work something out.
