Yep, same copper flashing as the yard office. I think its my new company standard for RR structures. Very easy to work with.
Dang, it’s coming along great… Nice work, Bob…
Bob,
What did you treat the copper with?
Or is that just paint?
Rick
White vinegar. First clean the copper with soap and water to get rid of any oils. Then I soak a rag with the white vinegar, and lay it over copper. Keep it wet for a couple hours, and move it around to cover all the spots on the roof. The longer you keep it on, the more green patina you get.
Working on the interior. Here you can see the floor and walls installed.

Looks great Bob. That cooper roof realy looks great.
I have been using some old barn metal roofing for my stuff. It looks great because of the rust. My Climax has some on it and Ijust put one on my General store.
Gotta dig that checkerboard floor

Ralph Berg said:Good ol' industrial linoleum. Looks like you either see that, or hardwood, in RR offices, switch towers, etc. This looks 'cooler', I think.
Gotta dig that checkerboard floor :D Ralph
It does look cool…all ya need now is some checkers…
Final pic for today, and out-of-focus (sorry) of the shelf around the bottom of the windows

WOW!!! That is really looking good!
Is the wainscoting plastic as well?
Lookin’ good!
Yep, everything styrene or acrylic (except the copper roof) so far.
With that said…nice wainscoting!
Neat. I really like that floor. How well can you see inside with the roof in place?
Eyecatching, Bob. This is really looking good
Bob,
Thanks for the reply.
Never thought of using vinegar, always used muriatic acid
to age copper. I guess in a home workshop the vinegar would be
a less “caustic” choice.
Rick
The windows are bigger than 50% of the sides, so you see a lot inside. Once I get a desk, stove, chair, and some other details, it’ll busy up real good in there. Getting close.
