Very nice so far.
Like the work bench too. People with spotless work areas make me nervous

Looking better all the time, Bobbyā¦keep at itā¦now, how are you going to activate the crossing gatesā¦and what are your plans for building them ā¦?..!!!
I expect you will stetch this building log out to include a tunnel, almost like the Mount Royal tunnel in Montreal, including another money making vault for burial ashes, a'la Young Radder......and carry on this project for at least 6 pages....it has that possibility, if you want it to.
This would promote Bruce to "Get With It" and start another thread on equipping passenger cars and locos, with steam heat lines......Bart will then feel compelled to build Andre's Garret, along with several new coke hoppers......who knows where this can lead.....I just might feel the need to describe equipping bridges with believeable bridge ties and guard rails.....
All this leads to motivating everyone to bettering their modelling skills and sharing informationā¦
Andreā might start talking with me and peace might greet us all in the new year.
There is hope for us allā¦
Bob;
I might donate a Bāmann brass bell for the tower, if you need oneā¦
Dang, thatās looking good Bob!
Copper siding oxidized, or paint about that color?

Believe it or not, its actually far cleaner, or at least more organized, than it was when Ken was up here. The piles have purpose now.
Tower looks good, Bobā¦

Nice. Is that a Plastruct staircase?
Yep, Plastruct. Iām gonna end up making my own, I think. The steps are about 5" tall in 1:20. Though Iām not real excited about the thought of making my own.
They look good. I used one of theirs when I did Mills Fuel. I like them a lot better than making my own. But mine scales just a bit over 7" in 1:20.

I figure thatās just about perfect.
A 6" rise on a switchmans tower is a pretty darn comfortable stair case to get up there. I would think it would be more like a 10" rise or better.
Yep. The thought of making my own gives me the jibblies. Like the roof lines are now. YIKES!
After attempting to remove all the fingerprints from my left thumb last night, todayās progress was slow. Got the major components attached to the base, and first coat of primer on everything.

Are you planning on using that āChopperā in the background, as a crossing gate for the tower operator, to controlā¦!!!..? Looking good, Bobā¦
Really coming along
Bob McCown said:I understand! Have you possibly thought about cutting the staircase and making a 1/2 turn with a landing? Work looks great so far. ;)
