Very similar to track puzzle called “Time Saver.” Posted on this forum and others. I have also seen them at train shows too. To much mind thinking for this old man to try.

I do want to build one to watch others burn the coal trying to beat each other’s time!
Our club sets up a Time Saver at the local shows for the kids to play on.

Try searching for Inglenook Sidings. I built the layout in OO/HO, and had a version built into my garden railroad. It’s more simplistic (only 3 sidings + an arrival track) but still lots of fun,
