Large Scale Central

Surry Parker log loader and vicinity

Jim, I’ve really enjoyed following your progress, even though I don’t always chime in.

Excellent work!!

Is it done yet?

Mr Cliff needs to know, y’know?

Now now, John (and I guess Cliff)… The journey IS the destination…

Jim, I enjoy watching you make the bits and pieces that make up the mechanism and put them together to make what is turning out to be a very realistic model. Please carry on (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)

Thanks, Dan. I’m always unsure whether I’m over-posting, showing a lot of the little steps as I go. I’ll take your post as encouragement to continue on micro-posting as I have been doing. I guess people can always ignore my topics if they don’t like them. I do it so I can remember later what the heck I did!

Jim, please show all your tricks. Who know which pic will click for somebody? I’ve been inspired and hope to inspire others to at least try…

Besides Bob expects the content for the site to be …speaka de francais ici. …(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-undecided.gif)

You know if you are premature there will be a flood of What abouts. (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif)

Yup, mee too

No the more the better, enjoy seeing you inspiring progress, keep up the good work and pictures, Bill

A teeny tiny, eensy weensy bit of progress today: working on the boom for the crane:

Sadly probably won’t be able to work on this for a week. Have some stuff on order so we’ll see how much progress can be made next Friday. Cheers!

Jim, I for one greatly appreciate the detail you put into your build logs. Can never have too much detail or too many pictures, just like there is no such thing as too much money (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif). And the week off will give me time to replenish the popcorn … between your build and Ray’s movies, I’m just about out (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

Jim

I agree with the above statements, to much is not an issue. Keep the information coming.

You see it all the time, we only see what you show, I always admire people like you and Cliff, You guys are great at giving us DETAILS.

I am the opposite, I get caught up in the project and forget to take pictures.

So please keep posting your progress.

Dennis

It’s coming along nicely. What I like to do with my loader is put it on a flatcar and transport it around the layout.

A smidgeon of progress: attached the take up reels and cabling for the side-to-side stabilizers:

Great thread! And Roosters side links, very good, also. Thanks guys.

Thread, ha ha ha.

I recognize them cable spools.,

Hmmmm. I painstakingly built those cable spools. Is there a place to just frickin’ buy them?

I think Dave helps his mom load her … Bobbins with thread for her sewing machine, I did.

Ah, of course!

The ones I have look more like these.
