Large Scale Central

Surprise vist to our SF&BC R.R.

Anyone know these people??

We think something to do with this thing. Maybe the start of Roosters adventure.

Where’s his sign board?

There standing in front of one of my signs and he has a LSC T-shirt on… Maybe Bob McCown knows them?.

Our cam got them on film where they were running one our track cleaning trains.

Hey - I will post my comments tomorrow. We just got in from California, and haven’t unpacked yet!

It will be a see-all, tell-all about the Santa Fe & Butthead Cove. Stay tuned.

That’s Cool!

Well…
The Kat’s out of the bag. Yup… it was Lou and Susan Luczu from NJ. that stopped by. Was a very enjoyable time even with a few rain drops.
Lou and Susan is looking at the animated stuff on the Pine Tree Jct. station while running our track cleaner train.

Being I’m short I had to stand on the bridge to be at his height. lol… Susan took the photo…

Nice!

I gotta start remembering to take pics of our visitors.

Here is a very short video of there visit here and Lou has the rest of the photos on his cam when he gets to them.

Were sorry we didn’t have much time to get our cam out to do much on photos…

Can’t really be sure it’s Lou without the board

Well, I uploaded 30 pictures of the Santa Fe & Butthead Cove RR, but now I can’t seem to access the folder. When I click on the name, it goes back to my root directory. Until this is fixed, I’ll just drone on and on and on…

Noel & Jane were so nice to us considering the short notice I gave them. The day before we left California, we were looking for a Marie Callendars to get fresh peach pie, and See’s Candy to take home. We were making plans for Tuesday because we had to check out by Noon and didn’t need to be at the Airport until 9. The night before I said “Are we anywhere Rio Linda? I know a guy who’s got a railroad there that we could visit to kill some time before we leave.” She said we were about 15 minutes away. What? So close? So I contacted Noel on LSC that night and he said “Sure, stop over. You’ve come a long way from New Jersey!”

Well, I’ll tell you what. We were completely overwhelmed. They have absolutely every square inch of their backyard utilized! It is overload for the senses! If I get the pictures up, you will be suitably impressed.

Lou

When you enter the backyard, this was the overwhelming first impression:

If you were to continue walking back, it seems to continue forever

But let’s start at the gate entrance

The first structure is an innovative way to store your trains so you don’t have to move them indoors everytime you are finished:

Inside Noel has a complex mechanism that replaces turnouts and machines, you move the track over with your finger and hold it with a nail!

This is the factory building directly in front of the engine house that was built in a friendly competition to see who could have the longest building.

The next few are views of the layout as I walked around. I don’t remember the names of all the locations, hopefully you can read the ones Noel has marked. Narration returns shortly.

“Look, over the hill, I think they’re friendly Indians!”

The famous swing bridge

Other views around. Notice the glimpses of the fence that is the only indication of what a compact area this is in.

As you travel back, you notice the hand made water wheel that Noel uses to pump water from the well

Then you wander “around back” to another surprise

Then you turn the corner to discover my favorite area, “Bakers Acres”

Where a person could sit for hours!

Then you run across Noel again, he’s got chairs and controllers all over the place!

I’ve got so many more pictures, but I have to cut it off here.

Thank you Noel and Jane for your hospitality. I wish we had more time, but we had to heard towards the Airport and New Jersey.

I always like looking at Noel’s layout. It’s so shady and peaceful looking.

Terry

You just never know what might happen when you leave the gate open… (http://forums.mylargescale.com/images/smilies/smiley.gif)(http://forums.mylargescale.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif)(http://forums.mylargescale.com/images/smilies/cheesy.gif)(http://forums.mylargescale.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)(http://forums.mylargescale.com/images/smilies/cool.gif)(http://forums.mylargescale.com/images/smilies/smiley.gif)(http://forums.mylargescale.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif)(http://forums.mylargescale.com/images/smilies/cheesy.gif)(http://forums.mylargescale.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)(http://forums.mylargescale.com/images/smilies/cool.gif)(http://forums.mylargescale.com/images/smilies/smiley.gif)(http://forums.mylargescale.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif)(http://forums.mylargescale.com/images/smilies/cheesy.gif)(http://forums.mylargescale.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)(http://forums.mylargescale.com/images/smilies/cool.gif)

Looks like you folks had a great time…

Lou and Stan. Tks for the comments and Lou and Susan, Ya… It would take a lot more Hr’s to see all and couse have to set down on a BBQ while running trains at night. There was a lot that you didn’t get to see. We didn’t get in the to the Train carts or under the Ho Layout… lol. Again tks Noel & Jane
