Sunset Valley switch throws

EDIT: To be clear, Sunset Valley does advertise here, but I bought these throws myself (and I buy their track and switches as well, as I’ve found them to be a quality product.)

At the show, I got to look at the Sunset Valley switch throws. They’re nicely made, and throw very easily. They have an adjustment screw to change the throw length. I ordered three to give them a try and they showed up yesterday. I need to buy some tiny screws to mount them before I give a full review.

Looks nice, Bob. Please let us know, as I just got two Train Li R7 brass switches at the ECLSTS, and need throws for them, only have the plastic Bachman ones in house.

Jerry

I have one that has been in use for 10 years or more, no trouble whatsoever, works like the day it was installed.

Fortuitous discovery in my collection of tiny hardware, some #2 x 3/8" brass lag screws and brass washers from MicroFasteners. Drilled 4 holes, mounted the throw, and added a paperclip throw bar. I need to bend the ends of the bar over to secure, but it works a treat. Got the throw adjusted just right, closes but not over-stressed.

I used a lot of these on my layout. Adding a triangular bend will give the throw bar a little flex and forgiveness. Might be a little hard to see in this photo.
